Bunkervik Spatial Reverb

Bunkervik Spatial Reverb

Bunkervik Reverb is a free spatial reverb plugin created in collaboration with the NEMUS project and Missing Ear. It is our first attempt to extend the modal reverberation framework into space, and in a dynamic way. The plugin is based on acoustic measurements of the Bunkervik, a wartime air-raid shelter in Brescia that now functions as a creative arts venue.

The Bunkervik tunnel

Having collected sine sweep data at various positions in the tunnel we then created modal reverb data sets. By interpolating between these we can position a microphone readout anywhere along the tunnel and dynamically change it during runtime i.e to create walkthroughs of the space. The plugin also has additional features such as Aura controls for adapting the high frequency modes and a modulation matrix.

Here are some audio demos created by Missing Ear (Matteo Gualeni).

Bunkervik Reverb is a free plugin and can be downloaded from our Downloads page. Additional information can be found in this report on the NEMUS project website.
